This Code of Conduct applies to all members, volunteers, staff, board members, and participants in IWebDev.org spaces, including in person, virtual, and online.

Expected Behaviors

  • Treat others with respect, inclusivity, and consideration at all times.
  • Communicate respectfully: debate ideas, not people.
  • Respect cultural, linguistic, and professional differences.
  • Follow event or platform rules.
  • Share knowledge and resources responsibly, giving proper credit.

Unacceptable Behaviors

  • Harassment, discrimination, or intimidation in any form.
  • Offensive or exclusionary language, including slurs or derogatory remarks.
  • Abuse of authority, position, or resources.
  • Inappropriate use of images, content, or technology.
  • Disruption of sessions, meetings, or digital platforms.

Reporting Unacceptable Behavior

IWebDev.org provides confidential and anonymous reporting options for violations of this Code. All reports are taken seriously and will be handled with fairness and discretion.

Consequences of Unacceptable Behavior

Violations of this Code may result in:

  • Formal warnings
  • Temporary suspension from events or platforms
  • Termination of membership or participation

What Happens After I Report

If you experience or witness behavior that violates this Code of Conduct, you may file a report through IWebDev.org's designated email address at codeofconduct@iwebdev.org. Reports may be made confidentially, and anonymous reporting is available.

After You Report

  • Acknowledgment: You will receive confirmation that your report has been received.
  • Review: A designated officer of IWebDev.org will assess the report and determine next steps.
  • Confidential Process: Reports are handled discreetly, with respect for all parties involved.
  • Follow-Up: You will be informed when the review has concluded, though specific details may be limited for privacy reasons.

Possible Outcomes

Depending on the severity and circumstances, outcomes may include:

  • No action (if a report cannot be substantiated).
  • Informal resolution or coaching.
  • Warnings or reminders.
  • Temporary suspension from events or online platforms.
  • Termination of membership or participation.

IWebDev.org prohibits retaliation against anyone who makes a report in good faith.
